Telling your story well is critical to effective marketing. Storytelling has replaced more pretentious marketing tactics mostly because target audiences have become jaded and cynical. People don’t want to be sold. They want to be informed. Stories are viewed as more genuine.
My friend, Frank Hazzard, and I were good friends long before we decided to go into business together. I am the majority partner (51%). Frank’s background is in marketing and writing and I bring technical and design skills to the table. Our skills sets mesh nicely and provide the background we need for the work we do. We are a digital marketing firm specializing in WordPress websites, writing content, SEO, and analytics. We also do e-mail marketing, social media, press releases, etc.
Buzzquake Marketing is certified as a woman-owned (minority) business enterprise (MBE) in the state of Maryland and is a member of the Howard County Tech Council. Our office is in Ellicott City, Maryland, but we have worked with remote clients as far away as Afghanistan.
We have a strong track record of building technically sound websites that perform well and achieve client goals. All of our clients have returned to us with repeat business and recommend us to others. I am the go-to WordPress expert for multiple design firms in our area and have made a lot of friends in our industry. I also serve as a WordPress help volunteer.
Our clients range from small businesses to big corporations, universities, nonprofit organizations and the federal government.
Frank is great to work with. Our clients love him. He’s excellent on the phone and in front of a white board. His degree is in marketing and his greatest strength is writing. Before launching Buzzquake, he was the chief marketing officer for a federal contractor and a freelance journalist. When the freelance industry dried up, he reinvented himself as a web content author. Today he helps our customers win the SEO game. He also helps them communicate with their stakeholders via multiple channels. He has a reputation for writing compelling press releases that tend to get noticed by even the most skeptical editors. One was recently picked up by CNN Money.
We’re proud of the Buzzquake story. Please leave a comment and tell your story.
