Buzzquake will join hundreds of Maryland businesses at Entrepreneur Expo

In the spirit of Global Entrepreneurship Week, /buzzquake marketing, an Ellicott City web design firm, will exhibit at the Third Annual Entrepreneur Expo (2013), at the BWI Marriott in Linthicum, Maryland on Nov. 11.  The expo will be  hosted by TEDCO (The Maryland Technology Development Corporation).

“I was intrigued by this expo’s theme – E2E – entrepreneurs inspiring entrepreneurs,” said Frank Hazzard, a content strategist for /buzzquake. “I wanted to join an environment where leading entrepreneurs can inspire the next generation of innovators.”

TEDCO is striving to gather Maryland’s entrepreneurial resources in one place, at one time.  The event is expected to draw more than 400 of the region’s top entrepreneurs, small business executives, angel and venture capital investors, federal and state economic development officials, university leaders, and legislators, according to the organization’s website.

“This year’s event will focus on creating opportunities for valuable connections to ideas, mentors and capital,” said Howard Blumberg, a spokesperson for National Conference Services, Inc., a Columbia, Maryland event planner that teamed with TEDCO to promote participation by small businesses.  “We will bring together people with a vested interest in Maryland’s innovation economy.”

In addition to tabletop displays, the event will include networking opportunities, business “speed dating” sessions, and “open mic” pitch sessions to investors.

“We expect a powerful vibe at the event that will be welcoming, receptive, and enthusiastic,” said Blumberg.  “It should be an event that honors and celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit.”
